To enable trainees to understand and communicate contemporary issues in screening
Objectives
By the end of the day trainees will be able to:
- Describe the difference between a screening test and a screening programme
- Appreciate the potential harms and benefits of screening
- Critically appraise screening studies
- Communicate effectively with clinicians and the public about screening issues
