Truro
Truro is the only ‘city’ in Cornwall.
It hosts a cathedral and is surrounded by fabulous open spaces including the Victoria Gardens.
There are four markets – two general and two Farmers markets every Wednesday and Saturday at Lemon Quay. Earl Richard of Cornwall gave Truro its first Charter giving the rights to hold markets.
There are some fantastic places to visit nearby including the Eden Project in Bodelva, the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, The Tate gallery in St Ives and of course Newquay – bring your surfboard!
