Lecturer/Academic Training Fellow in Public Health
Grade: Specialty Registrar in Public Health Ref: 701-75333-PHBased in the Department of Social Medicine, this post offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant multidisciplinary department with an international reputation for high quality research. The post is split 70:30 between the University of Bristol and an accredited Public Health service base within the South West.
You will be expected to continue your specialist training in Public Health and develop your own research programme in collaboration with members of the Department. If you do not already have a PhD you will be expected to register for one based on one of the range of projects in aetiological/genetic epidemiology or health services/public health research within the department. You will also teach undergraduate medical students and contribute to the Department’s postgraduate training programme.
You should ideally currently be a Specialist Registrar or Public Health Specialist. You should be post-MFPH part A and have evidence of an ability to undertake independent research, such as peer-reviewed publications.
Appointments will be for a maximum of three/four years dependent on experience with an annually renewable contract. The service training location will be agreed with the successful appointee on offer of the post.
